XPEL is a recognized global brand in automotive film. Premium window film reduces solar heat and glare while filtering UV rays; ceramic construction is non-metallic, so it doesn't interfere with phone, GPS or radio signals the way older metallic films can. We install XPEL film to a precise, plotter-cut standard at our Edmonton studio.
Per the Government of Alberta (alberta.ca — Vehicle window tint exemption), tinting material is not allowed to be attached to the windshield or the windows to the left and right of the driver, unless an exemption permit is held. Rear side windows and the rear glass can be tinted. Restricted requests are recorded as requested coverage for a quote and are subject to assessment — we confirm what's permitted before booking.
We install three confirmed XPEL PRIME lines: PRIME HP (a hybrid dyed/metal film), PRIME XR (ceramic) and PRIME XR PLUS (premium ceramic). TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejected) measures how much of the entire solar spectrum — visible light, infrared and ultraviolet combined — a film blocks. Infrared rejection covers only the infrared portion (reported over 780–2500nm as IRER, and at the single 1025nm wavelength as IRR). These are different measures of different things and are never interchangeable, which is why we publish them separately for each shade.
Most rear or complete-coverage installations are completed in a single visit, though exact timing depends on the vehicle and the glass layout. We confirm an approximate duration when we confirm your appointment.
We recommend waiting 3 to 5 days after installation before rolling the windows down. This allows the film to fully cure and bond to the glass. We provide full aftercare instructions with every installation.
XPEL window films are backed by manufacturer warranties. The exact terms depend on the specific film, and we confirm the applicable warranty details for your chosen product before installation.
Yes. Window tint protects the interior through the glass, while paint protection film protects the exterior paint from chips and road debris. Many drivers choose both for complete protection inside and out.
